Square Cutters are typically better for 'sandwich' construction skis/boards or if you're very proficient with ski and snowboard tuning tools already! If you're not so proficient and/or have 'cap' construction skis/boards then the round cutter is the way to go!

Note: Most people report that round cutters are generally easier to use for all types of sidewalls! The cutting characteristics of our cutters are the best we've ever used and will last for years! Cutters can be purchased separately and are interchangle on our tools.
