Square Cutters are typically better for 'sandwich' construction skis/boards or if you're very proficient with ski tools already!  If you're not so proficient and/or have 'cap' construction skis/boards then the round cutter is the way to go!

Note: Most people report that round cutters are generally easier to use for most people, for all types of sidewalls! The cutting characteristics of our cutters are the best we've ever used and will last for years! Cutters can be purchased separately and are interchangle on sidecut ski and snowboard tuning tools.
