For the removal of any ski or boards sidewall. The most important tool to use before side-edge sharpening or polishing. Removing the sidewall allows the file to cut the edge and not be interfered by the skis or boards sidewall. This tool is crucial in order to side-edge file/polish effectively! Round cutters are typically used for 'cap' contruction skis. This cutter also works extremely well on 'sandwich contruction' type skis/boards and is a bit more universal than the square carbide cutter.
